# Getting Started

Download your Mythic Scripts purchases from your Cfx.re account and prepare your server for installation.

This page covers what happens after a purchase: where to download your resources, how asset escrow works, and what to check before you install anything.

## Downloading your resources

Every purchase is delivered to the Cfx.re account you signed in with at checkout, as soon as payment clears. You also receive a confirmation email with the same link.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Sign in to the Cfx.re Portal

Open the [Cfx.re Portal](https://portal.cfx.re/assets/granted-assets) and sign in with the Cfx.re account you used at checkout.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open Granted Assets

Go to **Assets → Granted Assets**. Every resource you own is listed there.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Download the resource

Download the resource archive and extract it. The extracted folder (for example `ms_recoil`) is the resource you install on your server.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Do not rename the resource folder. Item definitions, exports and asset escrow all refer to the resource by its original name.
{% endhint %}

## Asset escrow

Some products use FiveM Asset Escrow to protect their core files. Escrow-protected resources:

* only run on servers whose license key belongs to the Cfx.re account that owns the asset;
* keep their configuration files editable, so you can adjust settings, items and text without access to the protected code.

Each product's Configuration page lists the files you can edit.

If an escrow-protected resource refuses to start, check that your server's `sv_licenseKey` was generated by the same Cfx.re account that made the purchase. See [Troubleshooting](/mythic-scripts-documentation/support/troubleshooting.md#escrow-protected-resource-does-not-start).

## Before you install

1. **Check the requirements.** Every product overview lists its supported frameworks, inventories and dependencies. [General Requirements](/mythic-scripts-documentation/introduction/general-requirements.md) covers the requirements shared by all products.
2. **Install the dependencies first.** Most products need `ox_lib`, and many also need `ox_inventory`, `ox_target` or `oxmysql`.
3. **Back up your server.** This matters most for products that create database tables or add inventory items.
4. **Follow the product's installation page.** The [Installation Guide](/mythic-scripts-documentation/introduction/installation-guide.md) explains the steps every product shares.
